    Module 1
    Ist Year - Total 60 Credits
    Academic & Critical Thinking Skills – 10 ECTS In the era of hyper-connection, we are living, we are bombarded with a continuous flow of information and news: young people if not well trained in critical thinking will tend to absorb any information without reformulating and questioning it, thus ending up believing immediately everything they read or hear. Critical thinking is important, especially in a world that is often made of fake news, voluntary distortions of facts or reality and propaganda. This module will help you: explore the concepts of critical thinking and critical reading, critically evaluate academic texts, apply critical reading strategies, recognize the importance of critical notetaking, explore how to develop your own view when reading academic texts compare the features of descriptive and critical writing, examine the features and examples of the language of critique, examine the features and examples of the language of interpretation using Harvard Referencing System (HRS). Learning Outcomes Understanding the Harvard Referencing System (HRS) and plagiarism. Effective utilization of library and e-library resources, how to reference the academic and business literature sources of information. Develop critical thinking, communication and writing skills in a business context. Self-evaluate and create an Individual Progression Plan with the aim of developing academic and critical thinking skills. Human Resource Management – 10 ECTS Human Resource management is a central function of any organization. Generally, 50 per cent or more of an organization’s operating budget is used to pay the people who work there. HR management can be defined as the effective use of human capital in an organization through the management of people-related activities. It involves leadership, values, employment planning, recruiting, and selecting employees, training, and compensating them, and evaluating their performance. It also significantly influences the corporate culture and norms. This module attempts to integrate the two most important themes in contemporary human resource management, the linking of the HRM function to promote and support a firm’s competitive advantage in an international business environment; to provide information about HRM practice in multinational companies.     Marketing Essentials – 10 ECTS This module is designed to enable students to understand and apply marketing, management, and entrepreneurial principles, make rational economic decisions, and exhibit social responsibility in a global economy. Topics covered will include a wide range of traditional business topics with a particular focus on the basic principles of marketing. Students will acquire a broad understanding of and skills in marketing so that they can transfer their skills and knowledge between and among industries, as well as gain a strong foundation to support an advanced study of marketing. Students will recognize the importance of interpersonal skills in diverse societies, gain a realistic understanding of work, and use technology to perform marketing activities. Students will be challenged to analyze the ethical implications of various marketing practices. Learning Outcomes

    Managing Business Operations – 10 ECTS Technology and Operations study the business processes by which inputs of materials, labour, capital, and information are transformed into products and services which customers want and are willing to pay for. Effectively managing these processes will enhance firms’ competitive advantage in the marketplace. This module prepares students to think managerially and analytically about business processes and provides students with the tools to analyze and continuously improve these processes.     Market Economy – 10 ECTS You will discover a range of economics branches before specializing, benefitting from an engaging and interactive learning experience during this module learning. Modern professional economists need to have a clear understanding of economic principles to recognize and model relevant economic problems. We ensure you are equipped with econometric tools in order to solve and analyze such problems. The aim of this module is to develop in students a systematic approach to decision making and the ability to recognize, use and interpret economic information from both within the organization and the wider environment.     International Business Management – 10 ECTS The increasing globalization of the marketplace affects all who are involved with business or who must make business decisions. Even those who are not directly involved in international business are affected in their domestic operations by international events and by the business activities of foreign entities. Therefore, it is imperative to be knowledgeable about international business systems. This module introduces students to a fundamental understanding of the socioeconomic, political, cultural, and linguistic environment in which international businesses operate. This course utilizes an inquiry-based approach to understanding country-level relationships in the Global Business Environment. It surveys the global business environment by asking and answering key questions about society, the global economy, cultures, and institutions in the business world. Learning Outcomes
    • Understand the concept of internationalization, globalization, and its impact on corporate businesses.
    • Evaluate the influences of international business management on an organization’s structure, culture and functions.
    • Appraise the strategic options available to global business managers and demonstrate how national contexts shape the activities of managers in multinational corporations.

    Module 2
    2nd year - Total 60 Credits
    Strategic Project Management – 10 ECTS The Strategic Project Management module provides the foundational understanding of project management according to the standard Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) published by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Emerging leaders will gain a practical framework of Project Management along with tools and techniques. The module will enhance the ability to link a project to an organization’s strategy and ultimately sustain Business Value Delivery. This course’s main expected learning outcome is the ability to author project charters. Other key learning outcomes include how to tailor projects accordingly to match an organization’s culture and practices and manage change in order to maintain outcomes. Learning Outcomes

    • Appreciate how to develop and create a project and risk plan.
    • Identify and apply methods to schedule, control and evaluate project work, with the use of different project management tools.

    Data Analytics – 10 ECTS This module presents a gentle introduction to the concepts of data analysis, the role of a Data Analyst, and the tools that are used to perform daily functions. You will gain an understanding of the data ecosystem and the fundamentals of data analysis, such as data gathering or data mining. You will then learn the soft skills that are required to effectively communicate your data to stakeholders, and how mastering these skills can give you the option to become a data-driven decision maker.     Business Financial Management – 10 ECTS The Financial Management module is designed to provide students with the financial management tools necessary to support decision-making. The focus is on understanding the role of financial management within an organizational context and developing a broad range of financial skills. These skills are of relevance to the roles of enabler and innovator and business partner. In each of the topics in this module, the focus is on the application of numerical financial management techniques, but students are also expected to interpret their results and discuss non-financial issues that might impact a decision.   • Examine investment appraisal decisions using discounted cash flow models.
  • Understand financial risk management and how to mitigate these risks.

  • Managing Cultural Diversity – 10 ECTS Cultural diversity in the workplace allows organizations to benefit from differing opinions and approaches. Cross-cultural management is integral to the successful performance of teams. In this module, you will gain global perspectives on the impact of cultural diversity both its challenges and benefits to teams and learn how to lead and communicate with a diverse and inclusive team. Upon completion, you will be ready to apply what you’ve learnt in your own workplace. Learning Outcomes

  • Consumer Behavior – 10 ECTS Every individual is a consumer. Understanding consumers and the influences of consumer behaviour is crucial for explaining and predicting consumption-related behaviour in individuals and organisations alike. Consumer Behaviour introduces the fundamental concepts, principles and theories of consumer behaviour and relates them to the practice of marketing. Drawing on both psychological and sociological viewpoints, this module covers individual factors, such as motivation and needs, perception, learning, personality and lifestyle attitudes and external socio-cultural factors such as family, social groups and group processes, social class, culture and subculture in the context of consumption.     • Identify the social, cultural and psychological impacts on consumer behaviour and appraise the nature of consumer decision-making.
    • Critically evaluate major behavioural, perceptive and cultural perspectives of consumer behaviour in a business setting.
    • Critically analyse key concepts in consumer psychology and evaluate how these influence consumer behaviour.
    • Analyse how advertising influences consumer behaviour.
    Research Methods for Business – 10 ECTS This module will introduce you to a range of research processes that will help to inform your choice of the research problem, research methodology, research methods, and data analysis. You’ll start by examining how to define your research problem and build a search strategy to hone your initial scoping research so you don’t get overwhelmed with too many sources and too much information.     • Determine and develop research scope, aim, objectives, and research questions, by defining a specific business problem(s).
    • Critically review the literature pertaining to the specific business problem(s).
    • Demonstrate research skills required to understand research methodologies, and collection of primary and secondary data, including ethical considerations of research.
    • Conduct and examine research data in a business context, by applying appropriate analytical tools to investigate the acquired data arrive at logical research findings, and communicate outcomes of the research project to identified stakeholders.
    Module 3
    3rd year - Total 60 credits
    Knowledge Management – 10 ECTS As organizations have become more knowledge-intensive, the ability to manage knowledge has become a matter of competitive survival. This module is intended to provide students with a blend of theory and current practice in knowledge management in organizations. After introducing the contemporary importance of knowledge and knowledge management, information and communication technologies that play a prominent role in knowledge management processes are examined. The module examines the importance of knowledge for organizational learning, as well as knowledge creation and organizational unlearning. Socio-cultural issues related to managing and sharing knowledge will also be considered. The role of leadership and how it can support and facilitate knowledge management activities is also examined.     Business Sustainability – 10 ECTS This module is designed to address the growing need and prevalence of sustainability practices in business – giving you the tools to pioneer meaningful change throughout your organization. The focus is on developing and communicating sustainable practices within business today and for the future. Decisions relating to the different facets of sustainability, and developing these with the various stakeholders involved, will be examined and provides students with knowledge of both the strategic and operational aspects of sustainable practices, the knowledge that can then be applied in a practical situation.   • Describe the organizational drivers for business sustainability and their impact on the nature and scope of the business’ economic, social, and ecological responsibilities.

  • Innovation and Design Thinking – 10 ECTS This module is designed to provide the students with a comprehensive and in-depth experience of Design Thinking, culminating in the presentation of a creative, innovative solution to a complex real-world challenge. Over the course of this module, participants will develop their expertise in Design Thinking through experiential learning activities. The students will be brought through all the stages of the Design Thinking process will culminate in a ‘Solution Presentation to the host organization’. Learning Outcomes

    • Apply advanced skills to market test the desirability, feasibility, and validity of the business model.
    • Discuss the importance of opportunity recognition in the innovation process through innovation funnel.

    New Venture Development – 10 ECTS This module will equip students with a good understanding of the strategic, operational, human capital, and financial issues and theory central to developing an idea into a new business and will develop your judgment in relation to which business ideas have a competitive advantage. Additionally, you will gain a clear understanding of the numbers in relation to growing an idea successfully into a new venture. You will develop your own business idea through the medium of a business plan and receive feedback on this in a way that combines theory with a practical, applied perspective. Learning Outcomes
    • Articulate a new venture value proposition and communicate ideas and concepts effectively.
    • Understand and apply a range of skills required in financial planning and processes in the context of entrepreneurship.
    • Critically evaluate the key challenges and risk stages in sustaining a new venture.
    • Develop practical strategies for exploiting business opportunities and resourcing new venture creation and development.
    Research Project – 20 ECTS The Research Project aims to help students to develop an understanding of the research process and to undertake research leading to the successful completion of their dissertation. It enables students to conduct research independently and provides them with the knowledge, skills, and understanding required to develop their proposal for their dissertation. The project covers ideas, techniques, and methods relevant to different stages of the research process, stressing the interdependence of each stage in conducting effective, coherent, and rigorous research.
